Prayer Ministry

The church office maintains a prayer list that is shared with the Prayer Chain Coordinator so that members of the Prayer Team can lift up those names in prayer.

We encourage adding you to add your loved ones to our list, which also includes other members of the congregation, first responders, military, and healthcare workers that work to keep us all healthy during the pandemic.

We also pray for families who are grieving the loss of a loved one. The church office will keep names on the list for one month and sympathies for grieving families for two weeks. After that amount of time, the name will be removed from the prayer list, unless the church office is contacted and asked to keep the name on the list. This is in an effort to have a current list of prayer needs.

If you would like to add a name to the prayer list or see that a name remains on the list, please contact the church office.
If you’re interested in serving on the prayer chain, please let Pastor Anne or Pastor Lou know.

Chaplain of the Fredericksburg Police

Pastor Lou Florio

As Chaplain, Pastor Lou will serve officers and staff of the department, their families, and all members of our local community regardless of faith affiliation. He also serves as a bridge between our faith communities and the local government as they seek to address common social concerns. A former police officer in Alexandria, Pastor Lou has an MS degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Basic Level Chaplain Credential from the International Conference of Police chaplains. In 2018, he was awarded a Medal of Merit from the National Sheriff’s Association for his chaplaincy service in Hanover County, Virginia.
