Pastor Lou has been appointed Chaplain of the Fredericksburg Police Department. As Chaplain, Pastor Lou will serve officers and staff of the department, their families, and all members of our local community regardless of faith affiliation. He also serves as a bridge between our faith communities and the local government as they seek to address common social concerns. A former police officer in Alexandria, Pastor Lou has an MS degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Basic Level Chaplain Credential from the International Conference of Police chaplains. In 2018, he was awarded a Medal of Merit from the National Sheriff’s Association for his chaplaincy service in Hanover County, Virginia.
