The Christian Education Ministry provides opportunities for spiritual growth for all ages.

Sunday Church School

Each Sunday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., for ages 3 through grade 12.  Special Sunday School events are also held throughout the year.  Sunday School teachers and staff are recruited each year, and all members of the congregation are encouraged to become involved in the program.

Adult Forum

Each Sunday during the regular Sunday School hour, adults gather for learning and fellowship.  Topics and instructors vary, with classes covering both topical and biblical themes.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer Vacation Bible School is made available for youth from age 3 through grade 6.  Watch the bulletin and newsletter for the dates of the opportunity for study and recreation for your children.  Teachers and staff are always needed for the week-long event.

Confirmation Instruction

Catechetical classes are held during the school year for youth in grades 7-9.  A team of teachers, including the Pastors, teach a curriculum of biblical, historical, doctrinal, and catechetical topics which normally prepares a young person for the full opportunities of congregational membership.  On Pentecost Sunday of their ninth grade year, these young persons are confirmed, affirming their baptismal faith.  Catechetical instruction is an important offering of the Lutheran Church, and we encourage parents to support their children during this time.

First Communion Instruction

First Communion Instruction is held each year during Lent for children in grade 5 and above who have not yet receive instruction in the Sacrament.  The youth attend a series of classes in which parents also participate.  First Communion is celebrated on Maundy Thursday.
